As part of this release, we are pleased to announce a new report – FRS105, which can be selected from the statements toolbar on the statements page. This is very exciting for us as it means even more companies can benefit from using Brevis to generate their year end accounts.
We wanted to get this new report out as early as possible so we can get feedback from you. With that in mind, more work is still required in order to make tagging FRS105 reports even easier. We’re still showing the entire tagging hierarchy that is necessary for FRS102-1A reports, but doesn’t need to be as detailed with FRS105. We have a solution for this and plan to implement it soon.
Other changes we have made recently include improvements to tagging. When creating a new financial period, existing tags from other financial periods are copied over to matching rows in the new trial balance reducing the amount of work needed. We’ve also added tooltips to the tagging hierarchy so it’s easy to see exactly where in the tagging hierarchy you currently are without endless scrolling.
We’ve got the following features coming up in future releases:
- An overhaul to the way reports are created so that you can have control about what report is being created from the beginning.
- Connection to companies house making it even easier to fill in the company information page.
- Smart tagging.
